In response to the media report “rumor said that PRC army actively greet and communicate with ROC army and we respond awkwardly?”, the Naval Fleet Command said today (13th) that their subordinate ships should follow the standard procedure to keep the radio silent if meet with unknown ships on the sea, and should call for the pennant number of the other ship to request them to leave immediately if they are approaching ROC sea area. We appeal the media not go along with the exaggerating and wrong report of China to cause misleading.

The Naval Fleet Command emphasized that the naval fleet maintain high level of combat readiness during ordinary days, and assigning ships to patrol surrounding ROC sea area to defend sea border safety, and they appeal people to feel at ease.
